Having only opened two days prior, Two Strangers (Carry A Cake Across New York) has this week announced that it will be extending its run.
After a 10-week run at London's Off-West End Kiln Theatre, Two Strangers (Carry A Cake Across New York) was set for a 14-week run in the West End's Criterion Theatre. Following huge success after its opening, including receiving our own 5-star review, the show will now remain open until the 31st August, 7 weeks later than originally scheduled.
Written by Jim Barne and Kit Buchan, Two Strangers (Carry A Cake Across New York) tells the story of Robin and Dougal who are both in New York to attend a wedding and become a family. What ensues is a hilarious and heartwarming story of friendship and broadening our horizons to grow as people. This run marks the writing duo's West End debut, having recently won The Stage Debut and Stiles and Drewe awards for the show's previous incarnation.
The show stars Dujonna Gift as Robin and Sam Tutty as Dougal with Tanasha Chege and Ellis Kirk as the respective understudies. It is directed by Tim Jackson and associate directed by Claira Vaughan. The remaining creative team includes Jack Knowles as lighting designer, Tony Gayle as sound designer, Lux Pyramid as orchestrator, and Julia Horan as casting director.
Two Strangers (Carry A Cake Across New York) runs at the Criterion Theatre until August 31st.
