Initial Casting Revealed for Secret Cinema’s Grease Immersive

Secret Cinema's next immersive venture Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical has announced its first three cast members. Opening this summer at Evolution London in Battersea Park, the new experience will run from 1 August to 7 September 2025.

This new production from the team that have brought more than 60 stories to life is Secret Cinema's first London production since 2022. It is set to be the first of three planned summer events as productions for 2026 and 2027 and scheduled to be announced later this year.

Initial casting for Secret Cinema's Grease Immersive includes Stephanie Costi as Sandy, the role made famous by Olivia Newton-John in the original film. Stephanie was a semi-finalist in the recent ITV show Mamma Mia! I Have A Dream. Alongside her is Liam Buckland as Kenickie, with Lucy Penrose returning as Rizzo, having played the role in the Birmingham production.

The two and a half hour experience will feature a cast of 30 in an immersive theatrical setting. The audience will step into the world of Rydell High with live music, themed food and drink and a summer fairground, which will 'blur the line between screen and reality'. The completely interactive experience will also include live performances of iconic numbers from the film including 'Greased Lightin', 'You're The One That I Want', 'Beauty School Dropout' and 'We Go Together'.

A new element for this production is the opportunity to purchase either free-roaming seats or designated seating. You can also buy a 'Join the Cast' seat where you can learn choreography ahead of performances so you can join in with the cast during the show.
