The Producers Initial Casting Revealed

Set to open at the Off-West End Menier Chocolate Factory this winter, the initial casting and creative team have been revealed for the latest revival of Mel Brook's The Producers.


Andy Nyman (Hello, Dolly!) will star as Max Bialystock with Marc Antolin (The Band's Visit) as Leo Bloom.


Joining the pair will be Harry Morrison (Assassins) as Franz Liebkind and Joanna Woodward (The Time Traveller’s Wife) as Ulla. The ensemble will be made up of Charis Alexandra, Michael Franks, Matt Gillett, Leah Harris, Hana Ichijo, Esme Kennedy, Josh Kiernan, Alex Lodge, Kelsie-Rae Marshall, and Chloe Saunders. Additional casting is yet to be announced.


The Producers tells the hilarious story of two struggling Broadway producers in their attempt to create a fortune by putting on Broadway's biggest flop.


This production, a revival of the most Tony-Awarded show in Broadway history, will be directed by Patrick Marber (Habeas Corpus) with choreography by Lorin Latarro (The Who's Tommy) and musical supervision and direction by Gareth Valentine and Matthew Samer respectively. The production will feature costume design by Paul Farnsworth, lighting design by Richard Howell, set design by Scott Pask, and sound design by Niamh Gaffney and Terry Jardine for Autograph.


Performances begin on the 26th of November with the production set to run until 1st March 2025. Tickets can be purchased direct through the theatre's website.
