This summer's Royal Court hit, Giant starring John Lithgow, will open in London's West End next year.
The play recounts the true story of children's author Roald Dahl (Lithgow) on the verge of publishing The Witches. As he deals with the backlash over his antisemitic views, Giant asks questions about Dahl's accountability.
Reprising their roles as Dahl and Tom Maschler, Dahl’s British Jewish Publisher, will be the previously announced Lithgow and Elliot Levey respectively. Richard Hope will return to play Wally Saunders, with Rachael Stirling returning as Felicity Crosland. Further casting is yet to be announced.
Giant is penned by debut playwright Mark Rosenblatt and directed by Nicholas Hytner. Designed by Bob Crowley, with sound design by Alexandra Faye Braithwaite, casting by Arthur Carrington, and lighting design by Anna Watson, Giant opened to rave reviews back in September.
You can catch Giant at London's Harold Pinter from 26th April. Tickets can be purchased here.
