The 2024 Olivier Award Winning 'Best Musical' Operation Mincemeat will tonight welcome new cast members into their ranks for the first time.

Written and devised by Spitlip, with direction by Robert Hastie (Standing at the Sky's Edge) and choreography by Jenny Arnold, Operation Mincemeat has journeyed from Fringe production to West End hit, with support from regional and Off-West End Theatres such as The Lowry (42 Balloons), Southwark Playhouse, and even the Turbine Theatre.

Original cast members Zoe Roberts, Oliver Award Nominated David Cumming and Natasha Hodgson, Zoe Roberts, and Olivier Award Winner Jak Malone all departed the show on Saturday 11th May, with what was an apparent emotional two-show day with fans set to complete their '#operationupasone' by attending both Saturday performances and this evening's performance to welcome in the new cast.

It is not the first time the show's large fanbase, or 'Mincefluencers' as they call themselves, has completed an 'operation'; they've attended performances in full cosplay as any of the multitude of characters, and sometimes even props, featured in the musical as well as supporting the show at this years Olivier Awards. They've also led the charge in locating the missing history on character Hester Leggett, played by Malone, for whom a plaque now stands in the auditorium of the Fortune Theatre.

From today's performance, Operation Mincemeat will open their doors to some new recruits. Joining the mission will be Emily Barber (Cost of Living) as Ewen Montagu and others, Chloë Hart (Six) as Johnny Bevan and others, with George Jennings (Nell Gwynn).  and Jonty Peach (SuperYou) as covers.

They will perform alongside returning cast members Claire Marie-Hall who will continue as Jean Leslie and others, Christian Anderson as Hester Leggatt and others, and Sean Carey as Charles Cholmondeley, both of whom will step from covers into the roles, with Geri Allen and Holly Sumpton continuing as covers.

Operation Mincemeat runs at the Fortune Theatre with tickets available here.
