Following a week of multiple extension announcements, we are thrilled that Operation Mincemeat and Tina: The Tina Turner Musical have also announced as latest shows to extend their West End runs.
Operation Mincemeat, currently playing at the Fortune Theatre in London's West End, is a comedy musical that tells the real life story of the WWII Operation to divert Nazi troops out of Sicily using a corpse posing as a fake soldier. The best reviewed musical in West End history, and winner of the 2024 Olivier for Best New Musical, Operation Mincemeat is a hit amongst fans, selling to sold-out audiences almost every night.
The production, which faces controversy around it's ticketing system, have today announced their 10th West End extension, now booking until 8th March 2025. Writer and previous cast member David Cumming has also hinted at a possible New York transfer, coming after Avalon and Spitlip prompted American audience members to provide their feedback on the show.
Tina: The Tina Turner Musical is now into its 6th year in London's West End and has today announced that booking now runs until 25 October 2025.
Using her music, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical tells the story of Tina's life, focusing on her abusive relationship with ex-husband Ike Turner. Featuring hits like Private Dancer, Simply The Best, and Proud Mary, as well as many more of Tina's classic songs, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical runs at the Aldwych theatre.
