Max Harwood to star as Percy Jackson in The Lightning Thief

Star of Everybody's Talking About Jamie and Stranger Things, Max Harwood is set to play the lead role of Percy Jackson in The Lightning Thief at The Other Palace later this year.


The Lightening Thief is a musical retelling of Rick Riordan's novel that tells the story of Percy Jackson, a teenager who discovers that he is a demigod and must journey to prevent war breaking out between the Greek Gods.


Originally premiering off-Broadway in 2014, The Lightning Thief has a book by Joe Tracz (Be More Chill) and music and lyrics by Rob Rokicki.


Harwood, who is currently starring as Alan Munson in Stranger Things: The First Shadow will take on the role of Percy Jackson in this new production helmed by director and choreographer Lizzie Gee. Further cast and creatives are yet to be announced.


The Lightning Thief opens at The Other Palace on November 23rd. Tickets can be purchased direct through the theatre's website.
