Following its sold-out run at the Royal Court last year, Giant opened in the West End last weekend. The play starring John Lithgow was the winner of Best New Play at the Olivier Awards this year. Directed by Nicholas Hytner and written by Mark Rosenblatt, the new drama is playing at the Harold Pinter until 2 August 2025.

John Lithgow stars as the author Roald Dahl himself alongside Aya Cash who is making her West End debut as US Publisher Jessie Stone.

Reprising their roles from the original Royal Court run are Olivier Award winner Elliot Levey as Tom Maschler and Olivier nominee Rachael Stirling as Felicity Crosland.

Tessa Bonham Jones plays Hallie with Richard Hope as Wally Saunders.

Rosenblatt's new play is inspired by true events and follows the complex story of children's writer Roald Dahl. It explores the consequences of his antisemitic remarks in the media.

Giant is currently playing at the Harold Pinter Theatre in the West End and is booking until 2 August 2025.
