Full Cast of A Christmas Carol Announced at Old Vic

As is becoming a tradition at London's Old Vic Theatre, Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol is set to return again this festive season. This year, John Simm becomes the latest British Actor taking the reigns of miser Ebenezer Scrooge, with the full cast also announced today.
Simm joins the likes of fellow Doctor Who star Christopher Eccleston, Owen Teal, Stephen Mangan, Andrew Lincoln, Paterson Joseph, Stephen Tompkinson, and Rhys Ifans to portray Scrooge in Matthew Warchus' (Matilda the Musical) adaptation.
Heading to Victorian England this year, alongside Simm, will be Rob Compton as Bob Cratchit, Raffaella Covino as Swing/Dance Captain, Juliette Crosbie as Belle, Jamie Doncaster as Swing, Geraint Downing as Ferdy, Kimmy Edwards as Mrs Cratchit, Jenny Fitzpatrick as Ghost of Christmas Present, Mark Goldthorp as Marley, Ahmed Hamad as Fred, Julie Jupp as Ghost of Christmas Past, Baker Mukasa as Nicholas, Alastair Parker as Fezziwig, Georgina Sadler as Little Fan, Lillie-Pearl Wildman as Jess and Connor Wood as Young Ebenezer. Casey-Indigo Blackwood-Lashley, Freddie Marshall-Ellis, Freddie Merritt and Vincent Stone will share the role of Tiny Tim.
Directed by Warchus, the production is adapted for the stage by writer Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Stranger Things: The First Shadow) and features movement by Lizzi Gee. Simon Baker provides sound design, set and costumes are designed by Rob Howell, Christopher Nightingale (Matilda the Musical) provides music and arrangements, with casting by Jessica Ronane, and lighting design by Hugh Vanstone.
When previously announced that Simm would star in this year's production, it was also revealed that over the previous seven incarnations, A Christmas Carol at the Old Vic has raised £1.5 million donated to food poverty charities such as The Felix Project and Food Cycle.
A Christmas Carol opens at London's Old Vic Theatre on 9 November 2024.
