Complete Cast Announced for Dr Strangelove

Set to open at London's Noël Coward Theatre this October, the full cast of Dr Strangelove has today been announced.


The production will star previously announced Steve Coogan as Doctor Strangelove (and others) with Giles Terera MBE (Hamilton) as General Buck Turgidson. Coogan is a seven time BAFTA award winner, known as an actor for Spitting Image and his own original character Alan partridge. Terera MBE is an Olivier Award Winner, for his role as Aaron Burr in Hamilton, with other West End credits including The Book of Mormon and Blues for an Alhambra Sky.


Joining Coogan and Terera will be Oliver Alvin-Wilson, Penny Ashmore, Ben Deery, Richard Dempsey, Mabli Gwynne, Mark Hadfield, John Hopkins, Tony Jayawardena, Tom Kelsey, Daniel Norford, Dharmesh Patel, Adam Sina, Alex Stoll, and Ben Turner.


Dr Strangelove, an adaptation of Stanley Kubrick's film of the same name, is a horror-fuelled comedy adapted by Armando Iannucci and directed by Sean Foley.


Set and costume will be designed by Hildegard Bechtler, with wigs and make up by Kate Elizabeth, illusions by Chris Fisher, movement direction by Lizzi Gee, lighting design by Jessica Hung Han Yun, Laura Hunt as associate costume designer and costume supervisor, projections by Akhila Krishnan, props by Chris Marcus and Jonathan Hall for Marcus Hall Props, and sound design and compositions by Ben and Max Ringham.


The cast has been put together by Amy Ball and Arthur Carrington. Chris Hay will works as Production manager with Dewi Johnson as Associate Director.


Dr Strangelove will run at the Noël Coward Theatre from 8th of October to 25th January 2025. Tickets are available here.
