London's West End is an ever changing landscape, with shows opening and closing weekly. In the past month, we have seen long running productions such as Frozen take their final bow, and other shows have come and gone in a matter of weeks - The Rocky Horror Show and Cake.
But a new month brings a new venture for some exciting productions, and here's the West End shows opening in October that we're most excited for:
White Rabbit Red Rabbit - @sohoplace, 1st October

Featuring a multitude of celebrities taking to the stage every evening, White Rabbit Red Rabbit is a theatrical experience like no other. Every night, a new actor treads the board, with no direction and having never picked up the script before. What unfolds is a totally new take on the same show every evening.
Featuring stars such as Catherine Tate, Miriam Margolyes, Alfred Enoch, Jonathan Pryce, Adjoa Andoh, and so many more, White Rabbit Red Rabbit is set to be a thrilling night at the theatre. Tickets can be purchased direct from the theatre.
Oedipus - Wyndham's Theatre, 4th October

Starring multi-award winning actors Mark Strong and Leslie Manville, Robert Icke's modern transformation of Sophocles' epic tragedy is expected to take the West End by storm this autumn.
"Election night. The polls predict a landslide victory. Everything is about to change." This Ancient Greek classic becomes a invigorating human thriller. Last seen at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Oedipus runs from October to January in a tale not to be missed. Tickets start from £30 and can be found here.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - Ambassador's Theatre, 10th October

Another production that started life as a Fringe piece is Jethro Compton's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. This OFFIE Winning Musical features actor musicians that tell F. Scott Fitzgerald’s story of Benjamin Button who is born old and grows younger every day.
Destined to make every second count, Benjamin wants nothing more than to live a little life. But will he ever find a place to belong? Book your tickets now to find out.
Barcelona - Duke of York Theatre, 21st October

"Late night in Barcelona. An American tourist goes home with a handsome Spaniard. What begins as a carefree, one-night stand becomes an invitation to danger, as the personal and political catastrophically intertwine."
This new and seductive thriller stars Lily Collins and Álvaro Morte and runs at London's Duke of York Theatre for a limited 12 weeks. only. Tickets for Barcelona can be purchased here.
The Devil Wears Prada - Dominion Theatre, 24th October

Following off-Broadway try-outs in Chicago, and a UK premier in Plymouth earlier this year, The Devil Wears Prada makes its West End debut this October.
Starring Vanessa Williams in the role of iconic Miranda Priestley, The Devil Wears Prada is a new musical by Elton John based on the 200X film. When journalist Andy begins a new job at fashion magazine Runway, her life is blown into a proportion that she could never have expected.
Beginning previews this October before officially opening later this year, The Devil Wears Prada is expected to be the hottest show in town. Tickets can be purchased here. That's all.
Also joining the ranks of shows opening this month will be Macbeth, starring David Tennant and Cush Jumbo, The Duchess with Jodie Whittaker and Dr Stangelove with Steve Coogan.
