Last night, stars from all across the Great White Way came together to celebrate Broadway's hottest celebration of the year - and what a celebration it was!

Of the 42 eligible shows, 11 were announced as winners at the prestigious 2025 Tony Award last night. The celebration, hosted by Wicked movie star Cynthia Erivo, resulted in a definite happy ending for Maybe Happy Ending, who claimed the most awards including Best Musical.

The productions Buena Vista Social Club and Death Becomes Her had strong nights too, with 10 nominations to their names each.

It also wasn't a shabby night for the productions whose lives began on the West End, with Operation Mincemeat racking up 4 nominations and 1 win, both Stranger Things: A First Shadow and Sunset Boulevard taking home 3 trophies each and Jez Butterworth's The Hills of California bagging 7 nominations. Sarah Snook and Jak Malone also took home awards for their respective performances in The Picture of Dorian Gray and Operation Mincemeat; awards that they were also awarded for their turns during the 2024 Olivier Awards Season.

Other awards given include the Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre, awarded to Harvey Fierstein, the Isabelle Stevenson Award awarded to Celia Keenan-Bolger, a Special Tony Award for Jamie Harrison, Chris Fisher, Gary Beestone, and Edward Pierce for 'the illusions and technical effects of Stranger Things: A First Shadow', while The Muny received a Regional Theatre Tony Award.
