The Phantom of the Opera
His Majesty's Theatre, London
About the Show
He's here. The Phantom of the Opera.
In 19th Century France, the Paris Opéra House is rehearsing their latest productions when strange occurances begin. A stage hand is found hanging from the ceiling, anonymous notes are being left for the theatre owners, and ballerina is being taught to sing by the ghost of her late father. But when Andre and Firmin, Carlotta and Piangi, and Raoul begin to go against the orders of this Phantom, he begins to take matters into his own hand, falling in love with Christine at the same time.
First opening in 1986, Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera is a tale of love, jealousy, and treachery. With songs including 'All I Ask Of You', 'Think of Me', and 'The Music of the Night', The Phantom of the Opera is a stable amongst the British Theatre repertoire, and plays at the His Majesty's Theatre to sold out crowds night after night.

Loved Phantom since doing it at amdram. The score is beautiful and the harmonies are incredible. I know they've reduced the orchestra but the way ALW's music fills the theatre is like walking on a cloud. My favourite is Music of the Night usually but when the whole chorus sings together, wow.
