About the Show

In Africa, young Simba is born into royalty and he just can't wait to be king! But when his father is killed by his Uncle Scar, Simba is forced into exile where he must learn to grow and overcome his fears. On the way he meets Timon and Pumbaa, who teach him the carefree ways of the Serengeti Plains and help him to f attempt to take back his kingdom.

Based on Disney's classic movie, and featuring a score by Elton John and Tim Rice - with additional songs by Lebo M, Julie Taymor, Mark Mancina and Hans Zimmer - the story that you know and love is transformed on the West End stage with set and costume designs that will show you how powerful theatre can be.

Nominated for 8 Olivier Awards, and winner of the Tony Award for Best New Musical in 1998, The Lion King is a timeless tale of love, family, and overcoming your fears. It's no wonder it moves audiences around the world night after night.
