About the Show

London's longest running musical embarks on another year. With an iconic score by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, and reimagined staging by James Powell and Laurence Connor, get ready to hear the people sing.

After Jean Valjean is released from 19 years in prison for stealing a love of bread, his life follows a story of love, loss, and epic battles around 19th Century France. Breaking parole and evading nemisis Inspector Javert, whilst raising his adopted daughter and later fighting for the future of France, Valjean learns that love really is everlasting.

Including songs such as 'I Dreamed A Dream', 'One Day More', and 'On My Own', Victor Hugo's timeless story is told onstage in London's Sondheim Theatre and around the world, having been performed in 22 languages, across 53 countries, to more than 130 million people.
